Elise Flake scored two first-half goals to lead the No. 10 BYU women’s soccer team to a 2-0 victory over 12th-ranked Texas A&M on Thursday night at South Field in Provo.
“We just wanted to go out as hard as we could from the very beginning,” BYU coach Jennifer Rockwood said. “We take a lot of pride in our attack right now. We spent a lot of time on encouraging them to use their skills on attacking. That’s sometimes your best defense. If you make your opponents play more defense than they’re used to, it’s hard to get into rhythm.
