Federal prosecutors say convicted fraudster Rick Koerber has been involved in another scheme — and they want him put behind bars now

Federal prosecutors want convicted real estate fraudster Rick Koerber put behind bars ahead of his sentencing, arguing in court papers that the man was involved in yet another scheme — this time an effort to deceive an Oregon court.

The alleged fraud, prosecutors wrote in court papers, involves Koerber's work as a litigation consultant for Morgan Philpot, a former state representative who now works as an attorney in Utah and Oregon.

Philpot had 30 days to file an appeal in a recent case where a $4 million judgment had been entered, according to court filings, and that notice could be done by "a commercial delivery service.
