Rick Koerber, who pitched himself as a Utah real estate savant, has been found guilty of 15 of the 17 counts he faced in the retrial of his complex fraud case. The two counts where he was found not guilty pertain to tax evasion. The federal jury found him guilty on counts of fraud, wire fraud and money laundering.
The jury ruled after three days of deliberation where they heard much the same testimony and evidence that had been presented last year during Koerber’s first trial. That trial was ultimately declared a mistrial after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
