A cold front will bring not just a big drop in temperatures but strong winds to much of Utah on Monday and Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 10 a.m. Monday-4 a.m. Tuesday for the Wasatch Front, Cache Valley, Sanpete and Sevier Valleys and southern Utah.
Strong southerly winds will develop Monday morning ahead of the front, with gusts of up to 55 mph possible across the Wasatch Front and Utah's western valleys. And when the front arrives on Monday afternoon/evening, even stronger winds are expected — gusts 60-70 mph Monday night and Tuesday morning across mainly northwestern Utah.
