Chris Smith named Utah State's MVP for 2015-16 basketball season

Senior guard Chris Smith was named Utah State basketball's Most Valuable Player at the team's award banquet Tuesday night.

Smith, who is from Sacramento, Calif., averaged 15 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this season. He shot 45 percent from the 3-point line.

Other players honored were senior forward Grayson Moore, junior forward Jalen Moore and sophomore Julion Pearre.

Grayson Moore was presented with the Aggie Award, given annually to the player his teammates feel best represents Utah State in the community, on the court and in the classroom. Moore appeared in 18 games before being sidelined with a broken foot.
