Athletic Rebels get away from Utah State with a win during 'blackout' game

LOGAN — Playing under "blackout" conditions at the Spectrum Tuesday night, the Aggies went into a dark place at the start of the second half and it cost them the game.

UNLV scored 21 of the first 23 points after halftime, helping the Rebels break away for an 80-68 victory over Utah State.

"The first half we competed, but the first four minutes of the second half we just didn't play like we normally do," USU senior guard Chris Smith lamented. "We started to turn the ball over and we dug ourselves a really big hole.
