A man was killed Thursday morning when a pressurized tank exploded while he was spraying a greenhouse, Orem police said.
The 39-year-old Hispanic man, whose name has not yet been released, was spraying a mixture of water and lime from a pressurized tank sometime after 8 a.m. at Cook’s Farm and Greenhouse, at 1645 W. 1600 North in Orem.
The tank, “for want of a better word, exploded,” said Lt. Trent Colledge of the Orem police.
The tank hit the man in the head. He died at the scene, Colledge said. Other workers saw the incident, but no one else was injured.
