“Our focus was to try and come out and establish the run. We can dial up passes when it’s time, but there is still improvement to be made, and today was about the run game.”
LOGAN — After a rather long stretch of cold, dark and wet days, the Aggies were blessed with clear blue skies for Friday afternoon’s scrimmage at Maverik Stadium.
And nowhere did the sun shine brighter than on Utah State’s rushing attack, which accounted for three touchdowns and 134 yards on 28 carries during the 90-minute practice session.
“Communication up front with the O-line and the running game, and it’s not even close,” USU head coach Matt Wells replied when asked what area of the team has made the biggest strides this spring.
