BYU coach Kalani Sitake took his football team to the movie “Creed II” on Friday night before the Cougars’ rivalry game against Utah on Saturday.
“If you’ve got nothing to lose, you’re really dangerous,” was Sitake’s main takeaway from the film, according to the BYU radio network. “That should be a definition for us tonight.”
Two-touchdown underdogs when rivalry week began, the Cougars were more than dangerous and played like they had nothing to lose, but still didn’t get the ending right — for the eighth straight time against Utah.
The Utes overcame a 20-point third-quarter deficit with four touchdowns in the final 16 minutes and eked out a 35-27 win at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
