WASHINGTON — When they acquired him with the No. 9 pick in the 2013 draft, the Utah Jazz had high hopes for Trey Burke. He started for most of his first two years, but in his third year he played behind Raul Neto and Shelvin Mack and was let go after the season, traded for a future second-round draft pick.
Burke acted professionally throughout the tough season, and although he expressed some frustration about his experience with the Jazz earlier this season, he had nothing but good things to say about his time in Utah before Sunday’s game.
