What the Utah Jazz can learn from the ancient Romans, Crassus, and Surenas in the Battle of Carrhae

In all of ancient history, there are many famous generals who to this day are revered for their incredible victories that grew their empires. Names like Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and the under-appreciated Agrippa come to mind.

But this story is about one of the most remarkable upsets in history. We’re not talking about the 2004 Pistons, or the Little Giants in the acclaimed film ... Little Giants. We’re talking about Surenas of Parthia who defeated Crassus and seven legions of Roman soldiers with an army only a quarter their size.

Before we talk about Surenas of Parthia, let’s talk a little about Crassus.
