OAKLAND, Calif. – The Golden State Warriors are known as the NBA’s best 3-point shooting team with two of the league’s best 3-point shooters in Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
Yet in Tuesday’s second-round opener against the Utah Jazz, the Warriors shot an abysmal 24.1 percent from 3-point range, going 7 for 29, and their two stars, Curry and Thompson combined to shoot just 4 of 12 from long distance.
Still, that has to be a little comforting to the Warriors, who didn’t have that much trouble handling the Jazz in a 106-94 victory in which they led by as many as 21 in the fourth quarter.
