Utah Jazz vs San Antonio Spurs recap: Lauri’s 27 not enough to outlast a second half storm

The Utah Jazz fell to 3-12 on Thursday night in a 126-118 final in San Antonio. Lauri Markkanen led the way for his squad with a game-high 27 points, but his offensive charge fell short even without the incomparable alien Victor Wembanyama out of commission for the Spurs.

This result marks Utah’s second loss to their neighbors in San Antonio in an early three games. Unlike my resolution to remember the Alamo, the Jazz failed to recall how they overcame their Southern foes a few weeks ago.

The Jazz jumped out of the gates on a burner, scorching the Spurs for 67 points before halftime, while holding their hosts to 51.
