Utah Jazz to Receive Tax Breaks for Arena Renovations

There’s no way around it–Vivint Smart Home Arena is getting old. Having been built in 1991, only six team arenas around the NBA are older. Namely, the Target Center in Minnesota, the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena, the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, MSG in New York and Oakland’s Oracle Arena.

Of those six, only Madison Square Garden isn’t set for imminent renovation or vacation in favor of a new building (Renovations at MSG were completed earlier this decade).

In other words, the Utah Jazz and Vivint Arena are in need of an upgrade.
