Last week, defensive specialist Thabo Sefolosha agreed in principle to a deal with the Utah Jazz. He’s now slated to be the primary back-up to Joe Ingles next season.
Although fans of the team will have to wait until the fall to see the 33-year-old suit up with the Jazz, Sefolosha will take the court next month as a participant in this year’s NBA Africa Game.
NBA Africa 2017 will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa on August 5. Team Africa, which will be co-captained by Sefolosha and LA Lakers forward Luol Deng, will consist of NBA players born in Africa as well as second-generation African players.
