Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert and the French national team took to the hardwood again on Tuesday for a EuroBasket quarterfinal bout with Latvia. Despite some early struggles, Gobert and Les Bleus were able to ride a second-half surge to a fairly comfortable 84-70 victory.
The Stifle Tower gave the fans in Lille another standout performance, scoring 13 points on four of seven shooting, grabbing six rebounds and turning back three Latvian shots. None were nicer than this rejection of big man Kaspars Berzins–
Despite some shooting woes, San Antonio Spurs point man Tony Parker once again led the scoring attack for the French with an 18-point effort.
