Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert’s breakout season got some more play on Monday. After capturing second-team All-NBA honors in May, the Stifle Tower is also getting his just due for being one of the Association’s elite defenders.
The NBA All-Defensive Teams have been announced and, unsurprisingly, Gobert was selected as a first-teamer at the center position. This marks the first time in more than a decade that a Jazzman has been recognized as an all-league defender; Andrei Kirilenko was first-team All-Defense following the 2005-06 season.
