Utah Jazz roll past Denver Nuggets, trail Mavs by just 1 game, lead Rockets by 1

DENVER — Trey Lyles and Gordon Hayward each scored 22 points as the Utah Jazz cruised by the Denver Nuggets 100-84.

The Jazz improved to 40-40 kept their one-game lead over the Houston Rockets to cling to the eighth and final playoff spot. The Rockets (39-41) knocked off the L.A. Lakers 130-110. Both the Rockets and Jazz have two games remaining.
