Utah Jazz renounce rights to Jeff Withey, Tyrone Wallace

On the heels of their free agent signings over the last week, the Utah Jazz made two more moves on Tuesday. According to RealGM’s Keith Smith, the Jazz have renounced their rights to back-up center Jeff Withey, as well as the team’s pick at No. 60 in the 2016 NBA draft, point guard Tyrone Wallace.

With Utah’s roster sitting at 16 players (one more than the 15-man regular season max), the Jazz no longer had a spot for Withey. Back-up minutes behind All-NBA center Rudy Gobert will now fall to Ekpe Udoh, Jonas Jerebko and Derrick Favors.
