Since coming to terms with free agents Ed Davis, Jeff Green and Emmanuel Mudiay, the Utah Jazz have made the curious decision to delay those signings. The reason: Jazz brass still has work to do with the back end of the roster and has been exploring options to round out the team before altering their cap situation.
On Saturday, the Jazz reportedly pulled off one such move, giving themselves added depth on the bench and bringing a familiar face back into the fold in the process.
Per Eurohoops’ Nikos Varlas, combo guard Nigel Williams-Goss — who was originally selected by the Jazz in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft — is buying out of his contract with Greek squad Olympiacos in order to sign a three-year pact in Utah.
