If you’re an NBA fan in the Salt Lake Valley, you’d probably say your summer was less than awesome. After all, it was an offseason of fireworks in the Western Conference and the Utah Jazz unquestionably felt the burn.
With Utah’s lone All-Star Gordon Hayward spurning the franchise to re-join his college coach in Boston and starting point guard George Hill heading to Sacramento, it feels like we’re in the midst of a massive reboot in Jazzland; last year’s 51-win campaign notwithstanding.
Still, there’s reason to be excited about the new-look Jazz. And we’re about to hit that point in the calendar where fan optimism hits its annual peak — Jazz Media Day and the beginning of training camp.
