When the Utah Jazz moved their No. 12 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft to acquire George Hill from the Indiana Pacers, they sent a clear message to the league that their days of rebuilding are long over.
And if all goes well, so are the days of narrowly missing the playoffs.
Since acquiring Hill, things have gone well for the Jazz. Very well, in fact. In a turn of events that quite literally no one outside of the Jazz organization saw coming, Utah landed free agent and seven-time NBA All-Star Joe Johnson.
