Utah Jazz guard Rodney Hood is out for tonight's Clippers' game with lower leg contusion

Spenser Heaps,

SALT LAKE CITY -- A day after regaining a spot in the starting lineup, Rodney Hood won't be playing tonight against the L.A. Clippers because of injury.

Hood, who has battled injuries throughout his career at Utah, will miss the game because of lower leg contusion suffered late in Friday's game against New York.

Hood, who started in place of Joe Ingles Friday, was noticeably absent from the lineup down the stretch when the Jazz were trying to get back in the game against the Knicks. He was subbed out for Ricky Rubio with 4:21 left in the game and didn't return.
