Donovan Mitchell has been a lot of different things since joining the Utah Jazz last summer. He was a draft-night steal, an alpha dog on the court, the 2018 Slam Dunk Champion, the guy who crashes fans’ Fourth of July BBQs, a media sensation and so on.
That said, the best role he’s played since rising to prominence in Jazzland and the basketball world at large may be the role of the good guy; the solid dude. Mitchell routinely acts in a way that endears him to just about everybody.
And this week, his knack for doing the thing we all want to see millionaire, superstar athletes do, but don’t always get to see, continued.
