SALT LAKE CITY — Gordon Hayward scored a team-high 28 points and Rodney Hood hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 51 seconds left in overtime as the Utah Jazz defeated Houston 117-114 Tuesday night at Vivint Arena.
Utah (28-28) trailed 83-79 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Jazz came roaring back, taking a fourth-quarter lead. The Jazz led 100-96 with 1:36 left in the fourth quarter when Houston's Trevor Ariza connected on a 3-pointer and James Harden made two free throws shortly after to give Houston a 1-point lead with 1:13 left in regulation. Hood then answered with a 3-pointer with 43 seconds left to help Utah regain a 103-101 lead.
