For the past 10 days, Utah Jazz fans monitoring the Dante Exum situation have been trapped in the Alphaville song “Forever Young.” Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Are you gonna drop the bomb or not?
On Monday, the bomb finally dropped. Per an announcement from the Jazz, Exum will undergo shoulder surgery in the coming weeks. As a result, the 22-year-old could find himself on the shelf for the entirety of the 2017-18 NBA season.
His surgery date is set for Tuesday, October 24 in Los Angeles.
Exum hurt his shoulder during Utah’s preseason bout with the Phoenix Suns on October 6.
