The home bench at Vivint Arena will be a little less crowded when the Utah Jazz suit up for their fifth preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers. With opening night less than two weeks away, the Jazz made their first series of cuts this week to inch closer to the league maximum 15-man roster.
Big man Eric Dawson, guard-forward Quincy Ford and one of the team’s second-round picks from last June’s draft, point guard Marcus Paige, were all waived on Thursday per an announcement from the Jazz.
The team’s roster now stands at 17 players in total, 14 of which already own guaranteed contracts for the 2016-17 season.
