The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz 124-118 in California. The Jazz’s chances of securing an NBA Cup position are becoming slim as they have fallen to 0-2 in the November qualifying games. The Lakers dominated in the first and third quarters with a mix of stoud defense and aggressive offensive play. The Jazz had good defense and an offensive surge in the 4th quarter but the 22 point deficit that had accrued in quarters 1-3 was too much to overcome. The Jazz had 5 players score between 16 to 22 points (Markkanen, Sexton, George, Clarkson, Collins) and the Lakers had James and Davis score 26 apiece.
