In his first season in the NBA, Joel Bolomboy appeared in just 12 regular season games. He never really got the chance to show what he can do in consistent, rotational minutes, as he mostly got minutes at the end of games that were practically already decided.
Despite the injuries the Jazz had to deal with all season long, Bolomboy was never able to crack Coach Quin Snyder’s rotation, competing for minutes with Derrick Favors, Boris Diaw, Trey Lyles, Jeff Withey and more.
With garbage time being his only outlet with the Jazz, playing in the D-League was big for Bolomboy’s development.
