Following a lackluster effort against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, the Utah Jazz rebounded with a convincing win over Denver Nuggets to close out preseason play on Thursday.
While the Nuggets were missing key players, the way the Jazz came out and handled the game matters more than the win itself. The Nuggets were facing a motivated Jazz team, who treated the game as a regular season contest. Denver was probably losing that game with or without said players.
The Jazz finished with a preseason record of 3-4. Of course, you can probably put as much stock in preseason wins and losses as Denver’s 2013 NBA Draft think-tank, who thought that they were better off trading Rudy Gobert to get Erick Green.
