After trailing by as many as 15 points in the second half, the Utah Jazz came on strong in the fourth quarter to force overtime—and then rallied again to force double overtime—before falling 124-119 on the road to the Charlotte Hornets Monday afternoon.
Gordon Hayward scored a season-high 36 points, while Trey Burke added 25 points off the bench (and hit two key 3-pointers late in the game) in the loss.
Rudy Gobert double-doubled with 14 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks. Trevor Booker (12 points, eight rebounds) and Rodney Hood (11 points) also scored in double figures for the Jazz (18-23).
