After three overtime periods—and two narrow losses—in their previous two games this week, the Utah Jazz desperately needed a win on Friday in Brooklyn.
And boy did they get it.
The Jazz dug themselves a double-digit deficit early on but then outscored the Nets by 33 points the rest of the way en route to a 108-86 win that wasn’t even as close as the lopsided score indicates.
Gordon Hayward finished with 21 points (and nine assists) as all five Jazz starters scored in double figures. Rodney Hood had 16 points, while Trevor Booker (13 points, 10 rebounds) and Trey Burke (12 points) also scored in double figures off the bench.
