The Roundup—Conley breaks out of slump, leads Jazz past shorthanded Clippers

Playing a late-night game on ESPN, the Utah Jazz rode the wave of a strong second half to a 110-96 victory over the LA Clippers Wednesday night in Salt Lake City.

Mike Conley led the way with 29 points for the Jazz (4-1), who beat a shorthanded Clippers squad that was playing without All-Stars Kawhi Leonard (rest) and Paul George (shoulder).

"This game was tremendously important for us," Jazz head coach Quin Snyder said. "They're one of the best teams in the league.
