Thabo Sefolosha has spent just a few days in Salt Lake City as a new member of the Utah Jazz, but soon he'll be going abroad to represent the team.
The Jazz on Wednesday announced that Sefolosha will be a co-captain Team Africa at the NBA Africa Game Aug. 5 at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, South Africa. Los Angeles Lakers forward Luol Deng will be the other captain.
“Having South African roots, it’s a dream come true to return to South Africa to play in an NBA game,” said Sefolosha, whose father is from the country.
