With Gordon Hayward missing Monday’s late-night game due to a quad injury, the Jazz looked to their role players to provide some much-needed relief. They found it though Rodney Hood, Joe Ingles and Joe Johnson.
The Jazz got off on the right foot Monday night, opening up an 18-point lead in the second quarter. Three-point shooting was much to credit for the large lead, as the Jazz finished the night shooting 15-of-27 from downtown.
The Pelicans came back and cut the lead to five just before the break, behind a huge half from Anthony Davis.
