Reports say the NFL was ready to bench him if he had not changed shoes at halftime.
On one hand, it’s nice to honor his kids in this way. But I can see why the league — any league — has parameters. Before long, players would be wearing shoes to honor baby arrivals, weddings, graduations and birthdays. It could quickly go from pictures, to flashing lights, to holograms.
