The NBA has always been a player’s league, but it takes more than just their efforts to make a winner. And as good as the Utah Jazz have been on the court over the last two years, they’ve absolutely had their stars behind the scenes as well.
One of them — assistant coach Igor Kokoskov — left the Jazz for the top coaching spot in Phoenix. After 21 years with the team, longtime sports performance coach Mark McKown also left his post. Now, another of the team’s unsung heroes could be on the verge of taking a top spot with a new franchise.
