“I don’t want to be melodramatic about the whole thing. It certainly hurts. Heartbreak’s pretty severe. It hurts.”
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Utah Jazz had a surprising start Sunday in Oklahoma City — a surprise starter, to be more precise.
They almost had a surprise finish.
After leading for most of the game, including by double digits, the Jazz were outplayed down the stretch of the fourth quarter and then got dominated in the extra session of a 104-98 overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Rodney Hood, who had one of his best games, described the loss as “frustrating” because of how oh-so-close the new-look team was to pulling off the upset.
