The early season narrative we were fed was how the Eastern conference had now surpassed the struggling West. There were plenty of teams above .500 in the East and their Playoff picture looked more promising than a West where injuries to a number of playoff aspirants had decimated their teams. The East looked better because at the start of the season they were healthier, and more importantly, the REST of the East don't have to play the Warriors, Spurs, and Thunder as many times as the other 12 Western conference teams do. But Lo and Behold, now we are after the All-Star break and the numbers prove that, once again, the West is best.
