NBA notes: Wisconsin lawmakers pass $250-million arena deal

The Milwaukee Bucks are now just a signature away from $250 million in public money to help fund a new arena in the city’s downtown after Wisconsin lawmakers on Tuesday voted in favor of the bill following months of haggling. So if there’s a light breeze blowing across Lake Michigan it might just be a fanbase’s collective sigh of relief.
The team must still negotiate a land deal with the city, but this week’s vote marked a major milestone in replacing an outdated arena and keeping the Bucks in Milwaukee.
