The Utah Jazz have just signed bigman Jeff Withey, according to Yahoo! Sports savant Adrian Wojnarowski. This would bring the team's current roster to a whopping 19 players. This is normal, the team usually has about 20 guys going into training camp. Signing them now affords the Jazz some advantages. First, the team can get an earlier look on guys, and direct their next few months (P3, advice on what to work on, what part of their game needs to be honed, etc). Second, it helps to fill the team with guys they can use for trades.
