Alexander Abnos of Sports Illustrated placed Real Salt Lake at 19th in the Week 13 MLS Power Rankings. Though ranked only above three other squads in the 22-team league, RSL moved up one spot from 20 in Week 12 with its win against the Philadelphia Union.
Abnos wrote of Joao Plata, who has struggled to score this season but played a solid attacking game and struck in the first half against Philadelphia.
