SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox has plenty on his plate, what with his family life, his current job as the state's second in command and his preparation for a possible 2020 gubernatorial run.
On Thursday, Cox showed that he can put a baseball above the plate from 60 feet 6 inches away, too. The lieutenant governor threw a low strike while tossing the ceremonial first pitch for an afternoon Salt Lake Bees baseball game on Utah Prevention Day.
12,000 5th and 6th graders at the Bees game for Utah Prevention Day! Because the Governor is in DC, I got to throw out the 1st pitch.
