Upon graduating from the United States Naval Academy, most midshipmen are required to serve in the armed forces for five years.
On Monday after the No. 21 ranked Navy football team beat Pittsburgh 44-28 in the Military Bowl, Midshipmen head coach Ken Niumatalolo gave a ringing endorsement to the seniors on his team who will soon be commissioned in the Navy or Marine Corps.
"I love those guys," Niumatalolo said immediately after the game on ESPN. "I love those guys, and as Americans, we're in great shape if we've got guys like that who are going to go protect us.
