Former University of Utah center Jason Washburn is certainly carving out a fine hoops career in Europe, as he recently led his team, Sigal Prishtina of Kosovo, to the Balkan International Basketball League championship.
As noted in a story by Bill Broderick of the Battle Creek Enquirer in the big man's home state of Michigan, the 6-foot-10 Washburn was named the finals MVP. He was also named the league's center of the year and defensive player of the year after averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game.
"It's absolutely been a great experience since joining the team," Washburn told Broderick.
