Jerry Sloan resigned as coach of the Jazz on Thursday, February 10, 2011, in Salt Lake City, bringing to a stunning end a long career in Utah that included most of his 1,221 career coaching victories and induction into the basketball hall of fame.Longtime assistant coach Phil Johnson also resigned. Assistant coach Tyrone Corbin will be named interim head coach. The announcement was given at a press conference at 3 p.m. at the team's practice facility.
