SALT LAKE CITY — When the BYU Cougars and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs square off Friday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, the Bulldogs will have at least one fan in attendance, and a notable one at that.
Sort of.
Ahead of BYU’s game last week against Troy, cutouts of a bunch of famous people were placed in the stands at the stadium, with Utah Jazz Hall of Famer Karl Malone among them.
Malone, of course, played college basketball at Louisiana Tech before the Jazz drafted him in 1985, and so the Bulldogs equipment staff has made sure that he (his cutout) is representing them on Friday night, as they placed a Bulldogs shirt over his cutout.
