It's a familiar story that when John Stockton was drafted by the Utah Jazz with the 16th pick of the 1984 NBA Draft, Jazz fans could be heard yelling, "Who?"
Hailing from small Gonzaga University, Stockton wasn't a household name then, but now the NBA's all-time leader in assists and steals will be honored for his accomplishments during his time in Spokane, Washington.
On Wednesday, Stockton was named as one of eight who will be inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in November. Joining him will be Tim Duncan (Wake Forest), Jay Williams (Duke), Scott May (Indiana), Paul Silas (Creighton), Bo Ryan (coach), Cleo Hill (Winston-Salem) and Rick Mount (Purdue).
