Joe Ingles is certainly the primary comedian on the Utah Jazz roster, as he seems to have a quick-witted remark for almost every situation.
On Thursday, he capitalized on a long-standing joke within the Jazz organization to wish a former teammate happy birthday.
That former teammate would be Trey Lyles, now of the San Antonio Spurs, who infamously complained in 2018 that Utah coach Quin Snyder held three-hour practices.
Since then, Jazz players and coaches have occasionally taken opportunities to jokingly jab at Lyles’ comments. With Lyles turning 25 on Thursday, yet another chance to do it was there, and Ingles seized it.
