Drafted 55th overall in the 2010 NBA Draft, Jeremy Evans struck up a friendship with fellow 2010 Utah Jazz draftee Gordon Hayward almost immediately. Both have grown up together as basketball professionals and men in Utah, getting married while members of the Jazz.
Playing video games together has given way to building families and futures, Hayward’s guaranteed in Utah for the next few years, while Jeremy Evans will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career of five years.
Evans was signed for three years after he stole the show at the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest during the NBA’s 2012 All-Star Weekend, with, of course, best friend Gordon dishing the winning dime.
